I grew up playing baseball in Waco, TX and went on to pitch all 4 years in college at both Texas A&M and Texas Tech. Unlike my brother, Casey, professional baseball was not in my future, but the exciting world of accounting was. I earned both my BS and MS in Accounting from Texas Tech.
From there I went to Deloitte where I became a Senior Manager in the Dallas audit practice, primarily serving public companies in a variety of different industries. Fast forward to early 2016, I met our founder, Paul Allen, and immediately bought into his vision for Embark. I joined the firm that summer, and it's been a wild ride ever since. Looking back thus far, the friendships that I have made and the fun I've had working here have been the biggest surprise and definitely the most rewarding part of my tenure.
During my time at Embark, my role has evolved, but I have always provided leadership to our execution function. Focusing on our consultants so that they can provide exceptional service to our clients. I can't wait to see how our firm continues to grow and evolve, and very excited and grateful to be a part of it.
Even though my wife, Jenna, sometimes thinks she works at Embark, I am unbelievably thankful for all the support, advice, and encouragement she's provided. After all, she is the person that introduced me to Embark and told me to apply for a job here in 2016... so she deserves all the credit, at least that's what she says. And our 4 awesome kids (Tyce, Coy, Bryn, and Payne) keep us incredibly busy, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
