I was born in New York but moved to Austin during the great migration of the 1990s. I traveled 100 miles east to attend Texas A&M University, where I earned my BBA in Accounting and my MS in Management Information Systems. I have my CPA, CISSP, CISA, and CITP licenses.
I started my career with Deloitte in Houston before moving back to the Austin area as quickly as possible. Throughout my 20-year career, I’ve done a little bit of everything, including a brief stint as a Pastor at my church. Most recently, I was a Partner at a top-20 national accounting firm, where I spent my time auditing public company and venture-backed CIOs and their IT departments.
At Embark, I combine my extensive technology expertise with years of leadership within large professional services firms to provide Embarkers with best-in-class tools and technologies. After all, best-in-class technology leads to happy consultants who make happy clients!
While not working, I spend most of my time with my wife, Beth, and our three kids, Addison, Joey the 5th (yes, it gets VERY confusing at home), and Lucy. I love watching sports, skiing, and playing golf, albeit very poorly. We are big Aggie and Green Bay Packers fans in the LoSurdo household.
Come join the Embark team!
Embark’s vision is simple: to be the best possible place to work. And if we deliver that to our people consistently, always aiming to learn and improve, we’ll continue to attract top talent and good humans. Excellent client service is then a byproduct of that top talent, the elite consultants and operators that make Embark tick.
