I was born and raised in Texas and grew up in a small town outside of Waco called China Spring. I stayed close to home and went to Baylor University where I graduated with a BBA and Master’s in Accounting. After graduating from Baylor, I moved to Dallas to start my career in public accounting within Deloitte’s audit practice.

While at Deloitte, I worded on several engagements but focused primarily on the real estate and financial services industries. At Deloitte I gained valuable experience in financial reporting, technical accounting and internal controls. I was also fortunate to be in a team-lead position early in my career where I was able to leverage and develop my people skills in order to successfully manage my team but also client relationships. After my time with Deloitte, I spent some time in industry with a combined private equity/hedge fund where I gained invaluable experience seeing the business “from the other side”.

At Embark, I utilize my accounting and people skills gained in my experience to collaborate with clients, help them with any issues that may arise and provide a positive impact on their business.

Outside of work, you can find me spending time with friends and family, in the gym or attempting to train my black lab, Drake. I am also a huge Dallas sports fan, living and dying weekly at the hands of Baylor football and the Dallas Cowboys.
