I am originally from Ohio, where I attended Ohio University and earned my BBA in accounting and minored in economics. After graduation, I moved to Pittsburgh, PA to start by career in client service at Schneider Downs & Co., Inc.
There I was able to grow in the audit and assurance practice and then transition into the risk advisory practice. Fast forward, I made my way to the Sunshine State, landing in Tampa, FL, where I continued my consulting career in financial accounting and risk advisory at Protiviti.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to serve public, private and not-for-profit clients in a variety of industries, including insurance, manufacturing, consumer products, healthcare, transportation and logistics, and higher education. I'm passionate about coaching others and continually learning, hence my diverse experience assisting clients with process optimization, technical accounting and financial reporting advisory, finance transformation, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance and internal audit consulting services.
At Embark, I currently serve as the Tampa Market Leader, caring for our consultants, clients and community. Utilizing my experience, I'm focused on being the best people-focused and client-focused leader I can be. I'm incredibly grateful and excited to be part of an energetic and evolving firm which, at it's core, is focused on providing care to our people while providing hospitality and exceptional client service.
On a personal note, I have an amazing family, who are my foundation, always cheering for me from afar. While day-to-day, I share my life and journey at Embark with my husband, Brad, who is my #1 fan and supporter of my career, and ever-changing life dreams. In addition to spending time with my family and friends, I enjoy being active, reading, cooking and unwinding at the beach.
